This project for the FL Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Parks and Recreations projects is located at the southern end of the Manasota Key, just south of Englewood, FL. The park extends along 2 miles of the island from the gulf to the Inter-coastal Waterway. Primarily a beach and nature Preserve, the Architect provided an elevated rest room building, weather shelter, entry gates and fencing. One unique aspect of the design was the requirement to make all areas, including the beaches, handicapped accessible by use of elevated walks and ramps.
