The original structure, built in 1972 served as a doctor's office until 1990 when it was purchased for renovation into Florida's first Imo's. The St. Louis based company and it's local representatives were immediately attracted to the site due to its location on the heavily trafficked Dale Mabry Highway, six blocks south of Kennedy Boulevard. The basic building configuration was maintained both in exterior shape and interior bearing walls. The interior was replanned to include two dining rooms, seating a total of 70, a full commercial kitchen, office, restrooms and a large storage area. The project was designed in thirty days and constructed in less than ninety days.

Our continuing relationship with Pan American Enterprises included the first project outside the United States. Mr. McKenna led the design team that included Peruvian architects, engineers and consultants for the renovation of four of the five stories of the Edificio Larco, located adjacent to the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Square in Miraflores, one of Lima’s most affluent communities. The program provided for a mixed use facility combining restaurants, amusements and executive offices in an existing commercial structure.

The V.M Ybor Cigar Factory and related structures, which is named for Tampa's pioneer cigarmaker, are at the very heart of Tampa's Latin Quarter . Due to Mr. McKenna's efforts in Ybor on projects for the Hillsborough Community College, he was commissioned to renovate this complex of historic structures. Restaurants, shops and professional offices are well blended to provide an unique urban mix of uses. As in all restoration projects, great care was taken to preserve and protect all significant historical elements. The respect for the existing historic fabric has produced numerous awards for the project from area preservation groups. Elements that are new are clearly new. One example is the exterior glass elevator that was added to increase the project's accessibility. It is carefully detailed to blend with the adjacent structure while providing an interesting contemporary accent.

"We are a high-end custom Home Builder and Remodeler in Pinellas County. During a design meeting with a new client, Daniel Currea submitted a unique contemporary concept to the owner which they loved and resulted in Daniel taking the concept through the design phase and to fruition. The home is complex and spectacular. It's a truly world class design and the owner spared no expense in having us execute it precisely as designed and specified. It was a wonderful experience working with Daniel through the process. He was attentive and interested during all of our meetings and showed a care factor for his project which is rare in the industry. I've worked with many architects and Daniel has a penchant for amazing contemporary design and I look forward to working with him on many future projects where we can explore his creativity and talent together in creating more world class projects for our very special clientele."
