Florida Community College, The first building for the Hillsborough Community College to be built in Tampa’s Historic Latin quarter (Ybor City) is located on Avenida de Republica de Cuba (14th Street) between 9th and Palm Avenue. This site is directly across from two of Tampa’s most historic structures, the Circulo Cubana and El Pasaje. The building was shaped in the form of an “L” around a courtyard to accent the existing structures. Window spacing, building heights and other relationships help to tie the cluster of buildings into an attractive composition
